Compliance

Put simply, our mission is to assist with your Building Warrant of Fitness (BWOF) process without hassle or stress.

Behind the essential paperwork (known as the 12a) is our promise to jump through hoops to ensure your escalator or lift complies with the Building Act.

Delays in the 12a can hold up the issuing of the BWOF and cause frustration for all involved (along with potential fines). From the inspection, testing and maintenance – these complex assets are our passion and we’ll work tirelessly until your BWOF is buttoned-up for another year.

Why is the MLCC process better?

Typically, an IQP inspector will visit a site just once before the BWOF is due. If things go smoothly, the 12a and supporting report is issued. But the inspector will not be aware of any potential issues or the equipment’s current condition until they arrive on site.

Unlike the industry standard, we promise to visit as often as required leading up to the BWOF date to ensure all work is completed and signed off, and we’re happy to work alongside your chosen service providers to prevent delays in issuing the 12a.

With this level of interaction with your equipment we can also provide an asset report with the 12a, including items for budgeting purposes.

Building compliance exists to keep people safe while they are using (or undertaking maintenance) on your equipment. It’s as simple (and hard) as that! We believe the role of the IQP is to work closely with the building owner and service provider to meet compliance and the smooth issuing of the BWOF.

For your peace of mind, MLCC charges just one consultancy fee, per annum.
